2014PC / Mobile / ConsoleMojang (this build: Eaglercraft / lax1dude)SandboxSurvivalCreative

Minecraft is the most-sold video game of all time, and now you can play a complete edition in your browser without installing a thing. This embed runs EaglercraftX 1.8 — a faithful WebAssembly port of Minecraft 1.8 with full survival, creative, multiplayer and mod support.

Mine wood, craft tools, build a shelter before nightfall, then expand into farming, redstone engineering, the Nether and dragon-slaying. With no download or Mojang account required, it's the lowest-friction way to introduce someone to Minecraft.

Worlds save to your browser's local storage. As long as you don't clear your site data, your bases, your villagers and your stronghold all stay intact.

Tips and tricks

  • Punch a sheep early for wool — three wool + three planks = a bed, which skips night.
  • Always carry a bucket of water. It saves you from fall damage and lava.
  • Torches stop monsters spawning. Light up your base aggressively.
  • Y-level 11 is the sweet spot for diamond mining.
  • Don't dig straight down. Don't dig straight up. You will regret both.

Frequently asked questions

Is this real Minecraft?

It's an open-source web port (EaglercraftX) of Minecraft 1.8 that recreates the game in your browser. The vanilla experience is faithful to that version.

Do I need a Mojang account?

No. The browser version doesn't require any login.

Will my world save?

Yes, in your browser's local storage. Clearing your site data deletes saves, so back up important worlds via the in-game export option.

Can I play multiplayer?

Yes — the title screen exposes a 'Multiplayer' option that lets you join Eaglercraft community servers.
