Bloody Roar 2: Bringer of the New Age is a 1999 3D fighting game with one electrifying twist: every fighter can transform into a beast form mid-match. Yugo becomes a wolf, Alice a rabbit (yes, really, and she's terrifying), Long becomes a tiger, Bakuryu a mole, and so on.
The Beast meter fills as you take and deal damage. Trigger Beast Mode and your damage, speed, defense and combo potential all spike — but blocking depleted health while transformed deducts from the meter. It creates a constant gamble: stay human and play safe, or go beast and risk reverting at the worst moment.
The PSX version runs surprisingly well in-browser. Combos pop, the menus are snappy, and the soundtrack still slaps.
How to play Bloody Roar 2

- 03Fight using punches (X), kicks (A), throws (Z) and the Beast trigger (S or shoulder).
- 04Fill the Beast bar by trading hits, then transform when it's full.

Tips and tricks
- Don't transform the moment your bar fills — bait an opponent's launcher first, then beast out for a counter.
- Throws are unblockable. Mix them in against turtle players.
- Each beast has a Hyper Beast Drive (super combo). Learn yours.
- Stage edges matter. A ring-out is an instant round win at any health total.
- Bakuryu (mole) and Long (tiger) are the easiest beast forms to combo with.
